Locally integrated menus coming in Ubuntu 14.04

After replacing the traditional menu bar with the global menu, Ubuntu will now have local menus in the application title bar.

It took a bit of getting used to when they switched over to global menus. Now it's time to get used to the new order. I much prefer this "closer to home" solution though. You don't always want to run applications maximised which means global menus can be quite a distance away from the relevant application.

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS should enter Final Beta this month. Might be a good time to check it out.
