Here's what Canonical's been up to

Mir? Unity? Those are just parts of a bigger plan.

Canonical launched Ubuntu Edge on Indiegogo a few days ago to crowdfund a Ubuntu smartphone that's also a desktop replacement. Too bad I only heard on day 2. I'd have liked the $600 perk. Oh well. Too bad for me.

Interested yet? The project's already got $6.4m presently. With a massive $32m target everyone and anyone who can contribute will be needed. Every $1 counts. $32m? That's an insane amount.
