Lenovo G470 auto power cycle after 3 seconds

Apparently Lenovo's G470 notebook is known to have a certain issue with powering down itself after 3 seconds. They even have a site for it. Unfortunately, they don't seem to want people finding out what is the cause nor how to fix it.

One possible cause for this problem is the memory modules. At least that's what I encountered. So, if you have this problem check the So-DIMMs.

This is what a So-DIMM looks like, if you didn't know
Remove the current memory module and replace it with a new one. The notebook is back up and running.

Of course, there could be other possible causes but I haven't encountered those so far.
